The Manager – SEC Financial Reporting will manage the SEC reporting function and the analysis of business results. Our ideal candidate will have accounting firm, mix of public accounting and SEC financial reporting experience and will be responsible for maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results. This position will report to our EVP CFO and will also assist the CFO on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to SEC Financial reporting and cost benefit analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage the drafting and filing processes for all SEC filings, including 10-K/10-Q, 8-K’s and Proxy Statement.
- Coordinate the process of reconciling Form 10-Q and 10-K filings to the general ledger for external audit team.
- Prepare monthly analysis of performance awards for stock-based compensation expense.
- Calculate monthly journal entries for stock-based compensation expense and perform related account reconciliations.
- Assist in calculation of basic weighted average shares and determine weighted average dilutive shares for quarterly reporting.
- Perform monthly roll forward of outstanding equity awards and reconciliation.
- Undertake and manage certain special technical accounting projects and other reporting needs as necessary.
- Maintain appropriate SOX documentation of stock-based compensation.
- Assist in the analytical reviews of financial information.
- Prepare applicable disclosures and related work papers for internal and external reports.
- Research, analyze and apply specialized accounting/reporting guidance relating to SEC rule and regulations.
- Manage stock option tracking software and administer Stock Option & Warrant plans.
- Prepare, analyze, and select methods of presenting various data.
- Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis.
- Write reports and summaries of findings in a clear and concise fashion.
- Develop and present data to other members of the organization.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3-4 Years SEC Reporting Experience
- CPA Certification/ Accounting Financial Degree
- 4-6 Years Finance experience
- Knowledge of general office software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to create and assess financial statements and budget documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
