As a provider of RDC to end users, Cachet Financial Solutions takes the responsibility of delivering a safe, secure and compliant solution to our clients very seriously. Financial institutions considering offering RDC must decide what functionality and risk mitigation tools are at your disposal to address possible liabilities. Some key features of our RDC Select™ solution which can help mitigate that risk include:

  • Item Replication Detection (detects if a single item has been deposited multiple times);
  • Image Quality Analysis and Usability Tests (help identify if an image meets certain requirements for clearing);
  • MICR Detection (a leading indicator of a fraudulent check is the lack of MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) ink;
  • Field Permission Capabilities (prevents the end-user from editing or entering the information contained on a check’s MICR line);
  • Multi-Level and Multi-User Security Levels (ensures the scanner is not also the same person who reviews, approves and transmits the deposit);
  • Audit Trail Logging (tracks every action performed on the system);
  • Aggregate Reporting Capabilities (views and monitors all of an organization’s RDC activities).

The entire RDC Select™ software infrastructure is managed and controlled from a central location at our Data Center located in Minneapolis, MN. All software management occurs from the Data Center. Financial institutions and their customers are free from disruption and inconvenience. Our Data Center is state of art and adheres to regulatory compliance requirements (SAS 70) for security and data management.

“Celent acknowledges this growing outsourcing trend in its 2008 State of RDC report, declaring that third-party experts “in efficient hardware deployment and support have emerged with RDC-focused solutions so banks don’t have to be in the hardware business.”
